I’m a fan of the local music scene here in Denver (and independent artists in general), and I have several local bands and artists on my ipod, and usually at least a couple of times a day a local act will come up when my ipod is on “shuffle.” So I thought it might be cool to let you know when I’m listening to your stuff. 
So here’s what’s going down: I’ve put a Twitter widget on the sidebar, and when a local band from the Denver area comes up on my shuffle, I’m going to tweet it with the alert, “LOCALS ON SHUFFLE,” along with the band/artist and song. (You may already see some of those in the feed.) Likewise, for other indie bands from outside the local area, I’m going to tweet it with the words “INDIES ON MY IPOD.” These alerts will show up here, as well as on my other music blog The Oomph–and if you follow me on Twitter and/or Facebook, you’ll see it there, too.
So while we’re all figuring out how to be better artists, if you want me to shout out when your stuff shows up on my ipod…well, you need to get your stuff on my ipod! You can send me a download link, or send me a CD. The info on how to do that can be found on the “About” page of this blog.
